Along with the assistance of a state of the art Lorad Elite mammography unit, our technical staff handles a full spectrum of screening and diagnostic procedures.  Our Board certified radiology technologist, Pat Stuart, is accredited by the American College of Radiology, approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and licensed by the state of New Mexico Environment Improvement Agency.  All examinations are interpreted by a board certified radiologist.  The American Cancer Society recommends that women receive a baseline exam between the ages of 35 and 40, and an annual mammogram after age 40.  Ask your Rio Pecos provider about a mammogram and the importance of it, early detection is imperative.
