Confidentiality and Access to Information

Confidentiality - Rio Pecos Medical Associates respects the privacy of each of our patients.  Our patients' charts are kept on site for a period of 5 years.  Only staff members that would need access to these charts are allowed to check them out.  Helping our patients feel comfortable and secure is a primary concern of our staff.

Access to Information - While we maintain strict confidentiality rules, we also make available to our patients'  the right to view their charts.  We require our patients to fill out a medical release form in order to obtain a copy of their medical records.  If a patient is being seen by another physician's office, they can request that we send over copies of their chart so that physician can review the chart.
